Fusalp Futur

2019 collaboration between Neue Labs and IFA Paris for skiwear brand Fusalp. IFA Paris students where tasked with creating connected garments of the future. Fredrik Timour from Neue Labs introduced students to their AUTOMAT hardware kit. “When we talk about fashion tech, we talk about digital fashion… the digitalization of the fashion industry, including connected clothes for traceability, transparency and sustainability… as well as the future of fashion ownership and the user experience of wearing clothes, with the opportunity to sell digital services in fashion.”

Manufacturing Patent for Conductive Textile

Manufacturing Patent by Lisa Lang, developed with ElektroCouture. The patent describes a method for creating an electrical connection between two fibers—such as textile fibers, carbon fibers, or metal wires—using a connection device that includes an electrically conductive element. It also claims various configurations of this device and methods for integrating it into textile elements, including fixing by sewing, gluing, welding, or using thermoplastic layers.

Marlene Dress by ElektroCouture

ElektroCouture was invited in 2017 by the Deutsche Kinemathek to access the archives of Marlene Dietrich. There we found letters describing a glowing and interactive dress.

To mark the 25th anniversary of Dietrich’s death, the founder of ElektroCouture, Lisa Lang, decided to fulfill her wish. In collaboration with Swarovski, Forster Rohner Textile Innovations, Osram, and designer Anja Dragan, Marlene’s last dress was finally realized.

FNDMT Community Project for Open Source Cutting Patterns

FNDMT provides open‑source mask patterns and shares its design innovations for protective, community‑use face masks with the public. The page highlights several mask concepts—including reusable antiviral masks, 3D‑knit masks, and antimicrobial mask cases—emphasizing the blend of functionality, protection, and design.

Bauhaus Knitting Project Made in Europe

“The Knitting Project: Turning Pixels Into Loops” is a Kickstarter campaign by FNDMT that transforms European artworks—especially pieces inspired by the women of the Bauhaus—into high‑quality knitted garments produced in Portugal. The project blends textile tradition with tech innovation by ‘hacking’ knitting machines to convert digital art into ponchos, scarves, cushions, and blankets, supporting local industry and sustainable European manufacturing.
